Tablets Computers are a new trend in the world of technology. Soon, there would be a day when computers would get replaced by tablets. Yes, TABLETS! Wondering why? It's because of the "New IPad" that has been launched by the Apple Inc. a few days ago. But, the question is- Is it enough? This product by Apple is just an evolutionary change because it just includes very few added features. The company is facing a tough competition from the other players in the market, especially from the Android Tablets present & from the Windows operating Tablets which are being launched day by day. This product did'nt come up with the consumers' expectations. Let's take a look at pros and cons of this product.
Pros:
Retina Display:
With the New IPad, Apple has decided the time is ripe for a
brighter, sharper screen with a much higher resolution, and the impact
is clear to see. This one has a higher resolution of 2048 x 1536. With the Retina Display, you can get the feel of really touching your photos, raeding your books, playing the piano. The Retina display transforms the entire iPad
experience. So everything looks and feels incredibly lifelike and
perfectly detailed.
Quad-Core graphics:
The A5X with quad-core graphics drives four times the pixels of IPad 2, yet it delivers the same smoothness and fluidity IPad is know for. Even with all that extra oomph, the new IPad still gets an amazing 10 hours of battery life.
4G/LTE Support:
Its does support 4G support, but that's not of a use in countries like India as the 3G services havent been a success in India as well.
Cons:
No Siri:
This one does not include the Siri as the other products, but it does have an amazing dictation service available for the users.
(No Longer Unlimited) Data Plan:
Since providers
have been phasing out unlimited data plans it is likely that you will be
feeding all those pixels from a metered dataplan. Ouch!
Despite early rumours, Apple did not add a quad-core computer processor to its latest tablet, as in some of its rivals.
Experts forecasting a smaller version were also proven wrong and this
iPad actually added a little weight and bulk (49g and 0.61mm).
Overall:
The product is just an evolution of the IPad2. The product hasnt lived up to the expectations of the Apple lovers & the tech enthusiasts. But, the product is expected to give a decent sales figure due to the Apple reputation.
